In July 1950, the F-84F entered production. The F-84F was not declared operational until May 1954 due to production, control and stability problems. As the result of the problems, the active duty phaseout began almost as soon as the F-84F entered service in 1954 and was completed in 1958. In the mid-1960s, the F-84F was replaced by the F-100 Super Sabre and in 1971. The primary user of the F-84Fs is the United States Air Force.
