The Starship was commercially a failure, having little demand and only a handful were sold. Many aircraft were eventually leased by Raytheon. In 2003, Beechcraft realized that the Starship was no longer popular enough to justify its support costs and the aircraft were subjected for scrapping. Almost all of the recalled Starships have been ground up and incinerated at the Evergreen Air Center's "boneyard", located at the Pinal Airpark in Arizona. Few individuals purchased the Starship and several aircraft were donated to museums. As of 2007, only five Starships are still operational. There's a total of 53 Starships built.
